Is brittle bone disease an adult?

The severity of brittle bone disease depends on whether it recovers in adulthood. If it is mild, the patient's survival time is generally not affected much. Osteoporosis or occasional fractures are mainly present and may recover in adulthood after aggressive treatment. Moderate brittle bone disease is particularly prone to fractures in infancy and childhood, and the symptoms are more severe. Most patients may not live to adulthood, and even if some patients do, they cannot be completely cured. If the disease is severe, most children will die before or soon after birth. Generally, they will not live to adulthood.
