The

normal range of homocysteine is 5-15μmol/L, which is used for the auxiliary diagnosis of coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and other diseases. The high value may be related to non-disease factors, or may be related to disease factors. If the patient is high homocysteine due to alcoholism, smoking, excessive drinking of coffee, or excessive consumption of high cholesterol foods before examination, the examination error is usually not serious without abnormal lesions. However, homocysteine high may also be associated with the above-mentioned organic lesions, which are generally more serious.
