Homocysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid with a normal value of 5-15μmol/L. If it is caused by hyperhomocysteinemia, homocysteine is generally>100μmol/L, indicating a higher risk of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, venous thromboembolism, osteoporosis related fractures and other complications.
If it is caused by acute myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and other diseases, even if homocysteine is>15μmol/L, it is also dangerous and requires active intervention to improve prognosis.
