How is homocysteine treated?

Low homocysteine generally does not need treatment.

Clinically, homocysteine is used for auxiliary diagnosis of coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction and other diseases. If the index is high, i.e. homocysteine level>15μmol/L, it indicates that the risk of suffering from the above cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases is high, and targeted treatment is usually required according to the cause. However, homocysteine low belongs to a normal condition, and has no clinical significance. In theory, the lower the better, it will not cause abnormal discomfort symptoms and organic diseases, so homocysteine low usually does not need treatment.
