Homocysteine is high when it's high

Homocysteine is generally higher than 15μmol/L.

Homocysteine is an amino acid. Normal people can go to the cardiovascular department of a regular hospital for blood biochemical examination, which is helpful to observe the homocysteine content in the body. The normal reference value is generally 5-15μmol/L. If the test result exceeds 15μmol/L, it is an abnormal condition, which is easy to destroy the normal function of the coagulation system and cause more platelets to aggregate on the blood vessel wall. As time goes by, thrombosis may form to block blood vessels, induce hypertension, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, stroke, myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
