Etiology of fibrous dysplasia of bone

At present, the cause of this disease has not been completely clarified. Some scholars believe that it is caused by endocrine dysfunction, some scholars believe that it is formed by congenital dysplasia of bone, and some scholars believe that it is caused by bone dystrophy or serious loss of individual nutrients in the development process of bone. The disease occurs mostly in adolescents, mostly between 11 and 30 years of age. The incidence is unilateral, bilateral symmetry is rare. The incidence is mostly in tibia, femur and jaw, while the incidence of ribs and skull is relatively low.
