Rickets children often sweat, crying, irritability, sometimes accompanied by convulsions, laryngeal spasms and other neurological symptoms. Growth plate cartilage hypertrophy, most common in the rib bones and long bone ends, manifested as beaded ribs, bracelets, ankles, etc. Mineral salt deposition disorders in the bone, can cause long bone bending, manifested as knee inversion, severe rickets can cause muscle weakness, barrel chest deformity and thus cause repeated attacks of lung infection in children. The clinical manifestations of osteomalacia in adults vary greatly. The most common is the bending of the lower limbs. In severe cases, it can cause bone pain and muscle weakness, even pathological fractures.
