Tetanus shot precautions

Because tetanus is an extremely serious disease with a high mortality rate, tetanus shots are often required after trauma. After tetanus shots, skin tests are required, and some patients show tetanus allergy. Therefore, tetanus shots are often injected after skin tests and wounds are disinfected. In addition, patients with underlying anaerobic infections in deep wounds may require a booster injection one week later.
