Tetanus is caused by tetanus bacteria invading the human body through skin and mucous membrane wounds. It grows and reproduces in an oxygen-deficient environment, producing toxins and damaging motor neurons in the nervous system. Clinical manifestations are trismus and muscle spasms. The incubation period of tetanus is normally 7 to 10 days. The onset is acute and the prognosis is poor. The key to prevention and treatment of tetanus is prevention. Narrow and deep wounds, wounds contaminated by soil, on the basis of debridement, timely injection of tetanus antitoxin. Injection tetanus antitoxin, must do allergy test, allergy to use desensitization injection, the first injection of 0.1 ml, every 15 minutes and then inject 0.2 ml, every 15 minutes again, and then inject 0.3 ml, every 15 minutes, and finally inject 0.6 ml.
