What is Ebstein's anomaly?

Your well-being is my top priority.
Ebstein's anomaly (Ebstein's anomaly) is a rare congenital heart disease
characterized by displacement of the tricuspid valve toward the right ventricle, depression of the septal and posterior leaflets, and attachment to the right ventricular wall near the apex. Under normal circumstances, tricuspid valve is located between right atrium and right ventricle, which can prevent blood reflux. However, patients with Ebstein's anomaly are easy to reverse blood flow into right atrium when the heart beats, resulting in dyspnea, palpitations, cyanosis, etc. In severe cases, right heart failure and sudden cardiac death may also occur. If the patient has no discomfort symptoms, special treatment is generally not required, and patients with symptoms should undergo surgical intervention in time.
