Homocysteine test is a biochemical test of blood.

Homocysteine test is mainly used to measure the level of homocysteine in blood and evaluate the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease. Homocysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid involved in protein metabolism in human body. Homocysteine test can understand the concentration of homocysteine in blood. If the measured index is high, it indicates that the risk of cerebral infarction, myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease and osteoporosis is higher; while the index is low and has no clinical significance, theoretically the lower the better.
