How long does syphilis usually last?

Treponema pallidum is a systemic sexually transmitted disease caused by Treponema pallidum infection. Treponema pallidum is highly sensitive to penicillin, and drug resistance has not been found at this stage. Therefore, as long as the standard penicillin treatment is accepted, most Treponema pallidum in normal syphilis patients will be killed, and the infectivity will become very small, but it cannot be said that there is absolutely no Treponema pallidum. However, the effect of treatment must be monitored by the anti-cardiolipin titer of Treponema pallidum after treatment. The higher the titer of this antibody, the stronger the infectivity. Therefore, it is considered that there is no infectivity after the antibody turns negative. This time normally takes about 1~2 years, and some people may take longer.
