Can Moxibustion Cure Disease?

Moxibustion

is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy that burns Artemisia argyi to stimulate specific acupoints of the body and helps regulate physiological functions. If the patient has dysmenorrhea or stomachache caused by cold invasion, moxibustion can usually cure the disease because it has the effect of dispelling cold and promoting qi and blood circulation. However, if the patient suffers from gastroenteritis, arthritis, lumbar disc herniation and asthma, moxibustion cannot remove the cause, but can only relieve symptoms and control the development of the disease, and usually cannot be cured.
