What is gonorrhea infection?

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is normally contracted through unclean sex or multiple sexual partners. It can present with frequent urination, urgency, pain in urination, purulent discharge from the urethral orifice, or symptoms associated with low back soreness. It can be transmitted through one-time sexual intercourse, and the risk of infection is relatively high. In a few cases, it may be transmitted indirectly, possibly through contaminated clothing, bath towels, public toilets, public baths, etc. During treatment, pay attention to personal hygiene, shower, do not enter public baths, and pay attention to isolation measures to prevent transmission to family members.
