How to treat gonorrhea if allergic to cephalosporins

Ceftriaxone sodium is the first choice for the treatment of gonorrhea. Ceftriaxone sodium is very effective in the treatment of gonorrhea. Generally, acute gonorrhea can be treated for 1-3 days, and chronic gonorrhea can be treated for 1 week. However, in a few cases, patients who are allergic to ceftriaxone sodium will choose spectinomycin. This drug is relatively rarely used clinically. Spectinomycin is generally used 2g per day. The course of treatment is the same as ceftriaxone sodium. Acute gonorrhea is generally used for about 1-3 days. If the disease duration is short and the onset is within 3 days, use spectinomycin 1 g per day. If the disease duration is slightly longer, use spectinomycin 1 g per day for 3 days within 7 days. If the disease duration is longer, use spectinomycin 2 g per day for 1 week.
