Normal value and significance of ef value of echocardiography

The EF value reflects the percentage of the volume of blood ejected from the left ventricle at

each systole to the end-diastolic volume of the left ventricle. Under normal circumstances, the left ventricle can inject 50%-70% of the blood into the aorta at each systole to meet the needs of various organs of the body. If the EF value decreases, it indicates that the systolic ability of the heart is weakened, which may cause heart failure. Conversely, if the EF value increases, it indicates that the systolic ability of the heart is enhanced, but it may also be caused by cardiac hypertrophy.
