marker of myocardial damage, which may result in elevated serum troponin levels. The three markers are used to assess myocardial damage. When a patient has myocardial cell damage, myoglobin may be released into the bloodstream and are markers of early myocardial damage. Creatine kinase isoenzyme is an enzyme that catalyzes ATP to produce AMP and creatine phosphate. When myocardial cells are damaged, creatine kinase isoenzyme will be released into the blood and is one of the markers of myocardial injury.
