Furuncle, also known as fire furuncle, is caused by deep tissue infection of hair follicles. Furuncle can be infected by direct or indirect contact with the patient's skin. If the treatment is not thorough or hygiene is not paid attention to at ordinary times, it may still recur. If purulent infection occurs in multiple hair follicles, carbuncle will also form.
