Hypertensive retinopathy is divided into several grades

Hypertensive retinopathy can be divided into four grades.
1. The
first grade belongs to the spasm period of retinal artery, mainly manifested as contraction or narrowing of retinal artery, especially small branches.
2. The second
grade belongs to the retinal arteriosclerosis period, mainly manifested as hardening reaction of retinal artery, accompanied by localized narrowing, reflection enhancement and other phenomena.
3. The third grade
and third grade hypertensive retinopathy are mainly manifested as local hard exudation, hemorrhage and other conditions, visible cotton wool spots or extensive microvascular changes.
4. The fourth grade
usually on the basis of the third grade changes, the disease is more serious, which may lead to complications such as papillary edema and arteriosclerosis.
