What does the uterus look like?

It can be in the anterior position, that is, the uterine body faces the front of the body, or it can be in the posterior position, that is, the uterine body faces the rear of the human body. No matter in the anterior position or in the posterior position, it belongs to the uterus of normal shape. Generally speaking, the adult uterus is basically the same size, about 7-8cm long, 4- 5 cm wide and 2- 3 cm thick. Due to certain factors, the uterus can be enlarged, such as uterine fibroids, etc. After menopause, the uterus can slowly atrophy. The normal uterine body of the atrophic uterus shrinks obviously, while the cervix becomes slender. At this time, the ratio of cervix to uterus becomes two to one, that is, the length of cervix is 2 cm, the length of uterus is 1 cm, and the uterus is composed of muscle and endometrium. Both muscle and endometrium can produce lesions, most common lesions are endometrial cancer, which is cancer produced by endometrial glands.
