Causes of pulmonary stenosis

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
Pulmonary valve stenosis is caused by congenital defects, acquired valve degeneration, and non-heart diseases.
1. Congenital defects
Most pulmonary valve stenosis is related to fetal pulmonary valve dysplasia, which can be caused by fetal chromosomal abnormalities, or by maternal infection with bacteria or viruses during pregnancy.
2. Acquired valve degeneration,
including valve fiber calcification, valve fibrosis, etc., can lead to restricted valve opening, which can lead to pulmonary valve stenosis.
3. Non-heart diseases are
common in carcinoid syndrome. Affected by this disease, right ventricular drainage will increase right ventricular pressure or lead to right ventricular enlargement, which can lead to pulmonary valve disease.
