Traditional Chinese medicine believes that oral ulcer is related to heart and spleen heat accumulation syndrome, lung and stomach heat accumulation syndrome, yin deficiency and fire excess syndrome, etc. The moxibustion position of different diseases is also different.

1. Heart and spleen heat accumulation syndrome

If oral ulcer is caused by heart and spleen heat accumulation syndrome, moxibustion can be done at Zusanli, Zhongwan, Hegu, Quchi and other acupoints to alleviate symptoms.

2. Lung and stomach heat accumulation syndrome If

oral ulcer is caused by lung and stomach heat accumulation syndrome, moxibustion can also be done at Dazhui, Fengchi, Quchi, Feishu, Weishu, Pishu and other acupoints.

3. Yin deficiency and fire excess syndrome

Oral ulcer caused by yin deficiency and fire excess can also be moxibustion at Yongquan, Taichong, Sanyinjiao and other acupoints.
