Diagnostic criteria for heart failure in children

Children with heart failure diagnosis criteria include clinical symptoms, signs, echocardiography results, etc.
1. Clinical symptoms
If the child is restless, feeding difficulties, weight gain, oliguria, edema, hyperhidrosis, skin cyanosis, paroxysmal dyspnea and other symptoms, it is more considered to be related to heart failure in children.
2. Signs
If the child in addition to the above symptoms, there are signs such as shortness of breath, tachycardia, hepatomegaly, galloping rhythm, etc., it needs to be considered as heart failure in children.
3. Echocardiogram results
Echocardiogram results suggest that the heart is enlarged, ejection fraction ≤40%, ventricular systolic period is prolonged, and the child can be diagnosed with heart failure.
