What to pay attention to after hysteroscopic surgery

Hysteroscopic surgery is a medium-sized gynecological surgery, mostly used for endometrial polypectomy, submucosal myomectomy, hysterectomy, etc. The surgery is relatively small, and there are few complications, but occasionally there will be uterine perforation, postoperative uterine adhesions or postoperative infections. If there is increased vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, or even fever after surgery, B ultrasound and gynecological examination should be done. If gynecological examination shows thickening of adnexal area, tenderness, uterine tenderness, often a manifestation of infection, antibiotic anti-infection treatment should be given. If the next menstrual volume is significantly reduced, B ultrasound should be checked to measure endometrial thickness. For those who are too thin, estrogen and progesterone replacement therapy should be given, and often will improve. If there is still no improvement, a second hysteroscopy is sometimes required to exclude and treat uterine adhesions.
