Blood pressure, left hand or right hand?

Blood pressure measurement is usually done with both left and right hands.

Blood pressure refers to the lateral pressure caused by blood flowing in the blood vessels. In general, non-invasive arterial blood pressure measurement can be done with both left and right hands, but there is often a difference of 10-20mmHg in blood pressure of bilateral upper limbs. If patients need to measure blood pressure many times, they should try to choose the ipsilateral upper limb for measurement, so as not to affect the accuracy of the results.

Patients can choose swimming, walking, jogging and other ways to exercise according to their own preferences to improve blood vessel status and help control blood pressure.
