Definition of anterior myocardial infarction

Your health is my mission.
Anterior myocardial infarction (AMI) is an acute coronary artery occlusion of the anterior wall of the heart that causes ischemic necrosis of the heart muscle.
Anterior myocardial infarction may be related to factors such as reduced blood perfusion in the heart, insufficient myocardial oxygen supply, or increased myocardial oxygen consumption. Severe exercise, overwork, overeating, or emotional agitation may also cause the disease. Patients may experience precordial crushing pain, difficulty breathing, cough, confusion, and other symptoms.
Patients may be treated with nitroglycerin, metoprolol, or atorvastatin under the guidance of a doctor. If the drug treatment is not effective, patients may choose percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass grafting.
