What is the common site of myocardial infarction?

Empowering you to live your best life.
Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) usually occurs in the anterior wall of the left ventricle, coronary artery, anterior descending branch, apex, etc.
Acute myocardial infarction is caused by acute obstruction of coronary artery, resulting in ischemia and hypoxia necrosis of cardiac muscle. The disease can occur in any part of the heart, but the anterior wall of the left ventricle, coronary artery, anterior descending branch, apex and other parts require large blood volume, which is sensitive to ischemia and hypoxia, so acute myocardial infarction often occurs in the above parts.
Patients should immediately rest in bed after acute myocardial infarction, and seek medical treatment as soon as possible. Nitroglycerin, metoprolol, bisoprolol and other drugs can be used under the guidance of doctors, or surgery can be adopted.
