Does tuberculous pericarditis belong to a kind of infectious disease

Empathy in every care, excellence in every treatment.
Tuberculous pericarditis generally does not belong to Class I infectious diseases.
Tuberculous pericarditis is mostly caused by infection of the pericardium by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The lesion is not connected to the outside world. Mycobacterium tuberculosis cannot infect others through respiratory droplets and is not contagious. Therefore, tuberculous pericarditis does not belong to Class I infectious diseases.
Patients with tuberculous pericarditis can take drugs such as isoniazid and rifampicin to remove pathogens from the body and relieve discomfort symptoms. If effusion occurs in the pericardium, surgical methods such as puncture and pericardiectomy can be used to achieve the purpose of treatment.
