Causes of single-ventricle congenital heart disease

Single ventricle congenital heart disease is not clear etiology, may be related to congenital abnormalities.

In embryonic development, if the heart development is abnormal, atrioventricular canal can not develop ventricular alignment, it will lead to two atrioventricular structural abnormalities, resulting in single ventricle.
