What causes heartburn pain?

Heartburn pain may be caused by gastroesophageal reflux, gastric ulcer, myocardial ischemia, etc.

1. Gastroesophageal reflux

esophageal anti-reflux defense mechanism decline, reflux attack on esophageal mucosa enhanced, reflux residue in the esophagus, esophageal mucosal function damage may cause gastroesophageal reflux disease, when the stomach contents reflux into the esophagus may cause heartburn pain.

2. Gastric ulcer

Helicobacter pylori infection, long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may cause gastric ulcer, resulting in excessive acid secretion, stimulation of the stomach mucosa caused by heartburn symptoms.

3. Myocardial ischemia

coronary artery insufficiency, increased myocardial oxygen consumption may cause myocardial ischemia, common in coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, angina pectoris and other diseases. Myocardial ischemia attack patients may appear heartburn pain phenomenon.
