Pancreas is the largest digestive organ of human body.
Pancreas is a narrow gland, mainly located in the retroperitoneum, transverse to the abdominal posterior wall 1~2 lumbar vertebrae. Pancreas can be divided into four parts: pancreatic head, pancreatic body, pancreatic neck and pancreatic tail. There is no obvious anatomical boundary between each part. Pancreas can be divided into two parts: exocrine part and endocrine part. Exocrine part is mainly composed of acinus and glandular duct. Acinus secretes pancreatic juice, glandular duct discharges pancreatic juice, pancreatic juice can neutralize gastric acid, digest fat and protein. Endocrine glands are mainly composed of islets, which are mainly divided into islet A cells, islet B cells, islet D cells and islet PP cells.
