This is a macrolide antibiotic. The main mechanism of action is through binding to the 50 ribosomal subunit of sensitive microorganisms, thus interfering with their protein synthesis. It is generally used in mycoplasma infections or bacterial infections. It is suitable for acute pharyngitis and acute tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes; sinusitis, otitis media, bronchitis, chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria; pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae; Chlamydia trachomatis causes urethritis, cervicitis and infections of skin and soft tissues caused by sensitive bacteria. For children, it is more common in upper respiratory tract infections or lower respiratory tract infections. It is generally taken at 10 mg/kg body weight once a day.
