How are foot corns formed?

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
Corns occur on the outside of the big toe, on the outside of the little toe, on the back of the toe, on the side of the foot, and on the heel. Corns do not appear first on the soles of the feet. There are two cases of thickening of the stratum corneum on the soles of the feet, one is callus and the other is plantar wart. Callus is usually the part of the foot that appears on the forefoot, and it is also caused by repeated pressure and friction on the skin of the foot. Plantar warts are usually benign epidermal growths caused by HPV infection. If the patient can determine that the soles of his feet are showing corns, it can be effectively cured by wearing comfortable and breathable shoes first, and then cooperating with keratinous exfoliants or physical therapy. If the patient is not sure what his feet show, be sure to go to a regular medical institution dermatology department for treatment.
