Ecstasy in TCM

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Eczema is a common inflammatory skin disease of epidermis and superficial dermis caused by various internal and external factors. TCM believes that the occurrence of eczema is mostly related to wind, dampness and heat, and is also closely related to the patient's constitutional factors. For example, damp-heat accumulation in the body, or exogenous wind-dampness heat, can cause skin disease. Damp-heat in the body may originate from improper diet, such as eating spicy food, fatty sweet and thick taste, etc., resulting in abnormal circulation of spleen and stomach and endogenous damp-heat. Exogenous wind-damp heat may invade the human body due to pathogenic factors in the external environment. According to different manifestations of eczema, it is divided into multiple syndromes. For example, damp-heat accumulation skin syndrome is characterized by skin flushing, burning, itching, etc., and should be treated by clearing heat and eliminating itching. For spleen deficiency and dampness accumulation syndrome, common skin lesions are pale and exudate, etc., and the treatment is mainly based on invigorating spleen and removing dampness. Blood deficiency and wind-dryness syndrome are mostly manifested as rough and hypertrophic skin lesions, etc., requiring nourishing blood, moistening dryness and expelling wind. TCM treatment methods include internal Chinese medicine, external use, and acupuncture. Internal Chinese medicine can be adjusted according to the results of differentiation. External medicine can directly act on the skin lesion to relieve symptoms. Acupuncture regulates the function of qi, blood and viscera by stimulating acupoints. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of eczema. Through holistic concept and syndrome differentiation, it comprehensively regulates the patient's physical state to improve symptoms and reduce recurrence. But in the specific treatment, should be based on the patient's condition, combined with modern medical methods, individualized treatment plan formulation.
