Difference between cerebral infarction and cerebral embolism

Cerebral infarction, also known as ischemic stroke, is a localized necrosis caused by hypoxia and ischemia of the brain. The main symptoms are sudden fainting, speech impairment and intellectual impairment. Cerebral embolism is usually caused by plaque detachment in blood vessels.
