How does body odor form?

Guiding you with care, every step of the way.
Body odor is caused by genetic factors, abnormal secretion of apocrine glands, and bacterial action.
1. Genetic factors
Body odor is hereditary. If there are body odor patients in the family, the probability of individual occurrence of body odor will be relatively high. This is because the existence and inheritance of body odor related genes make the structure and function of armillary apocrine glands different from ordinary people, and it is easy to secrete substances containing special odors.
2. Apocrine glands secretion is abnormal. The
secretion of armillary apocrine glands is too strong. After its secretion is decomposed by surface bacteria, it will produce unpleasant odors. Due to changes in hormone levels during puberty, apocrine glands are more active, which is one of the more common reasons for body odor in adolescents.
3. Bacterial action The
warm and humid armpit provides a good environment for bacteria to breed. When the substances secreted by apocrine glands are discharged, some bacteria will decompose them, thus producing odors.
