What is breast grading?

Dedicated to your healing journey.
Breast grading usually refers to breast imaging A method of evaluating and classifying breast lesions (such as breast ultrasound, molybdenum target, etc.). Breast grading helps doctors make preliminary judgments on the nature of breast lesions. Through the grading system, you can roughly understand whether the lesion is benign or malignant, providing important reference for further diagnosis and treatment. For example, lower-grade lesions are usually more likely to be benign, but still require close observation or further examination to /confirm/i. Common breast grading systems include BIRADS grading, etc. Different grades represent different meanings and risk levels. For example, BIRADS grade 1 indicates negative, which generally excludes malignancy; BIRADS grade 2 indicates benign lesions; BIRADS grade 3 indicates a high likelihood of benign disease but requires short-term follow-up; BIRADS grade 4 and above indicates an increasing risk of malignancy requiring more aggressive management and evaluation. Breast grade is not the only basis for diagnosis. Even if it is a high-grade grade, it cannot be diagnosed as malignant tumor, and it needs to be combined with clinical symptoms, signs and other examinations.(e.g. needle biopsy). Similarly, low-grade grading cannot completely rule out the possibility of malignancy, especially for some special manifestations. For breast grading results, patients should fully communicate with their doctors. Understand the significance of grading, follow-up recommendations and treatment options, and follow the doctor's advice for further examination or treatment. At the same time, to maintain a good attitude, actively cooperate with the doctor's diagnosis and treatment work. Regular breast examination and correct interpretation of grading results for early detection of breast disease is very important. Women should be based on their own age, family history and other factors, according to the doctor's recommendations for regular breast imaging examination, in order to detect lesions in time and take appropriate measures. At the same time, pay attention to their own breast health, such as abnormal timely medical treatment.
