Laser surgery for retinal tears

A retinal hole is a full-thickness hole in the retina, usually due to a degenerative area of the retina, due to the traction of the vitreous body to form a hole. The formation of a retinal hole is the result of the combined degeneration of the retina and vitreous body, often occurring in the elderly, highly myopic patients. once the retinal hole is found, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital ophthalmology department as soon as possible to give retinal laser photocoagulation treatment to close the retinal hole and prevent the deterioration of the disease.
