What causes a sudden drop in vision

Empowering lives through health.
A sudden drop in vision is a common symptom of ophthalmology. Many causes can be caused. The following are common. First, retinal detachment. once the retina is detached from the position close to the eye wall, it will cause severe damage to the retinal function, thus forming a sudden drop in vision. Second, caused by fundus bleeding. Large bleeding will block the retina, thus blocking light from reaching the retina, causing rapid vision decline. Third, glaucoma caused. Glaucoma patients after a sudden increase in intraocular pressure, will cause corneal edema, transparency decreased, resulting in sudden decline in vision. Fourth, caused by optic neuritis. The optic nerve is responsible for the retina to obtain visual information transmitted to the visual center of the brain, thus forming vision. once inflammation occurs in the optic nerve, it will cause visual information can not be transmitted to the brain, resulting in rapid decline in vision.
