Treatment of uveitis

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Uveitis is a very common disease in ophthalmology. For the treatment of this disease, there are mainly two types of drugs at this stage: the first type of drug is glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoid has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, so it can play a very good therapeutic effect for uveitis. If it is anterior uveitis or mild inflammation, local drugs can be used, such as local eye drops or parabulbar injections. If the symptoms are very severe, you can also choose systemic application of glucocorticoids. The second category of drugs is cycloplegic agents, including tropicamide eye drops, atropine eye drops, these drugs can play a role in moving the pupils and preventing iris synechia. Therefore, if uveitis is shown, be sure to go to a regular hospital for detailed examination and standardize medication under the guidance of a doctor.
