How to treat anterior uveitis

Empowering you to live your best life.
Anterior uveitis is a group of inflammation involving the anterior uveal tissue, including iritis, cyclitis, or iridocyclitis. Treatment for this disease is currently dominated by topical corticosteroid eye drops and cycloplegic agents. Glucocorticoid eye drops can control inflammation in the eye. Commonly used drugs include tobramycin and dexamethasone eye drops and fluorometholone eye drops. Cycloplegic drugs can activate the pupil, thus preventing synechia and preventing the manifestation of complications. Common drugs include compound tropicamide eye drops and atropine eye drops. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or immunosuppressants, such as interferon or pranoprofen eye drops, can also be used in cases where glucocorticoid therapy is not effective. The recovery time from this disease is generally about one month, although different conditions may vary slightly.
