Gatifloxacin eye gel is an antibiotic, a quinolone antibiotic, used for bacterial infections of the eye. Gatifloxacin eye gel can be used during the day, usually three times during the day, or as often as your doctor requires. Gatifloxacin eye gel may be temporarily blurred after dropping on the eye, because the gel may paste on the eye surface, but it will expand and dilute in a while, so it is not a problem to apply during the day. It is mainly used for bacterial inflammation of the eye surface, such as bacterial keratitis on the eye surface, acute red eye disease or for postoperative prevention of infection.
