What to do after laser drilling

If the patient is accidentally injured by laser, we must go to the eye clinic for a comprehensive and systematic examination. First, we must check the patient's vision, and then observe the patient's eye surface through slit lamp examination. Whether the cornea and conjunctiva show damage, especially whether the cornea shows epithelial exfoliation, etc., and we must carefully check whether the patient's fundus, retina and macular area are affected. Normally, if the eye is injured by laser, it will only show a simple corneal epithelial damage. Some patients will show photophobia, tears and even blepharospasm. Then I suggest that we need to take topical antibiotic eye ointment, and use corneal recovery drugs, including growth factor eye gel and artificial tears. Normally, we will improve the patient's condition with topical medicine.
