Eye itching, redness and lumps are considered as styes. The common symptoms of styes are eyelid redness, and touch redness is a induration, there will be obvious tenderness and blink pain. Styes are meibomian gland bacterial infections, commonly known as needle eyes. Bacterial infections can be treated with antibacterial drugs, using levofloxacin solution or Tobias solution, combined with gatifloxacin eye ointment or Tobias eye ointment, can alleviate symptoms. Small sty can be subsided in one to two weeks, large sty is more serious, need oral cephalosporin and other antibiotics, systemic anti-inflammatory treatment can be completely subsided; later abscess, pus formation also need incision drainage, in order to completely subside large sty.
