Swelling and pain of the eye head, often caused by a sty. A sty is a suppurative inflammation of the eyelid. It occurs in the meibomian gland and is called an inner sty. Inflammation of the Zeis gland, eyelash hair follicle and its accessory glands is called an inner sty. The acute stage of a sty can be characterized by redness, swelling, heat, and pain of the eyelid skin. Localized induration can be touched on the skin or under the skin, and the pain is obvious. In the acute stage, antibiotic eye water and eye ointment can be applied to the eye, and bleeding can be applied to the affected ear tip. Some inflammation may subside, some may form abscesses. If the abscess cannot be ruptured or pus cannot be completely drained after rupture, surgery should be considered to open and drain pus.
