Definition of gestational diabetes

Gestationaldiabetes refers to the abnormal glucose tolerance of pregnant women during pregnancy; pregnant women can do glucose tolerance test in obstetrics department of hospital from 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy. If fasting venous plasma glucose exceeds 6.1mmoll, it can be diagnosed as gestational diabetes mellitus and hypoglycemic treatment is needed in time.
