Can high myopia be cured?

The treatment of high myopia generally refers to correction. The common correction methods are wearing glasses, wearing contact lenses and surgery. Because of the high degree of myopia patients, the lens will be thicker, so many patients do not want to wear glasses. However, patients with high myopia often show an extension of the eye axis, so wearing contact lenses sometimes produces some uncomfortable symptoms. Some patients are willing to take off their glasses through surgery. Common surgical methods include excimer laser surgery and lens surgery. Excimer laser surgery is generally better for myopia below 1000 degrees, but for high myopia above 1000 degrees, lens surgery is often selected for treatment, such as intraocular lens implantation for phakic eyes.
