Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS)

The Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) is a test to detect depression in patients with normal intelligence. Mild depression usually scores between 53 and 62 points, moderate depression between 63 and 72 points, and severe depression scores above 73 points. Antidepressant medication should be used promptly after diagnosis.
