Syphilis infection can be detected in a few days

Building bridges to better health.
The incubation period for syphilis is generally 2 to 4 weeks, but symptoms may appear within days of infection, or months or even years after infection.
If you suspect that you are infected with syphilis, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. Doctors usually perform serological tests for syphilis, including Treponema pallidum hemagglutination test (TPHA), Treponema pallidum gelatin agglutination test (TPPA), etc. These tests can detect specific antibodies to Treponema pallidum, thereby confirming whether you are infected with syphilis. If the test result is positive, further syphilis confirmatory testing is required to determine the stage of infection and severity of the disease. Confirmatory tests usually include treponema pallidum dark field examination, syphilis serological test, etc.
