Before each nasal feeding, make sure that the gastric tube is in the stomach and ensure that the gastric tube is unobstructed. Connect the syringe to the end of the gastric tube, first withdraw when gastric juice is withdrawn, and then inject a small amount of warm boiled water to lubricate the lumen and prevent feeding mucus from adhering to the tube wall. Nasal feeding should not be too fast, and attention should be paid to prevent nasal feeding solution too cold or too hot.
